The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions into the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering providers which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency mentioned it truly is alarmed concerning the substantial amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your superior number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area sassa daily. The service stage developed for intervention experiences a higher influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for the sassa office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra assets to allow the servicing of all clients and increase usage of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
